hi i have just got my RS200 have got a some Qs

hoping you guys can help !

When i switch the AC on the light sometimes flashes and the cold air will stop.

The cold air isn’t ice cold and it could do with re-gassing

Would a re-gas cure this or does the flashing light means there’s something more serious wrong with it ?

The temp knob is acts like an on/off switch and is not integrated the first 2 clicks are cold and the 3rd and onwards are hot !

Nothing in-between any ideas what’s wrong with this ??

i bought a workshop cd off e-bay, cost me £4 and has absolutely everything in it. Came on two cd's and was very usefull when installing the stereo as it had all the wirig diagrams. They dont make a haynes manual for lexus as far as i know, ive been to Halfords and been racking their brains about it before, i asked them if they had a manual for an altezza as i figured most of it would be the same and they didn't have a clue what it was lol.

I am listening Stav and have been watching eBay

Did try to get one but someone beat me to it

The hot and cold thing has been sorted now

There’s a ambient air temp sensor behind the dash and that wasn’t plugged in

So now it is and its fixed !

The AC light still flashes tho !

Not had a chance to get to Lexus to get the fault code read as yet

Mmmmm

Think I got it figured out ish !

The AC worked for a while this weekend but today has packed up again !

From what I can figure out

The AC compressor is run of one of the main belts on the front of the engine

And the pulley is constantly spun with the engine

There is a clutch type thing in the pulley which engages when you push the AC button

This don’t seem to engage most of the time but how ever sometimes it does !!

Going to try and “waggle” the connection tonight as this plug is at bottom of the engine and can have corroded!

Well least iv tracked it down to what’s it not doing !

Just got to find out why now

Spoke to a mate who’s works for a independent garage he reckons I would struggle to find an independent that could read the codes on AC on a jap car and struggle even more as it’s an import

But i now have a CD manual on its way !
