New Phone

Just signed up for a new contract and have gone for the phone in title (not sure on real name ).i know some of you are well up on your phones and wanted some input as to how good it is before i pick it up on Monday ,any other suggestions would be good . TITLE SHOULD READ LIKE THE PRADA PHONE

hi mate,my cousin has a few of these,as well as a few D&G phones,he seems to chase everything designer.According to his brother they are all gimmicks,basically regular phones re-packaged.The prada phone is the LG KE850,that prada have designed a case for and a few other features.It is a good looking phone with a minimalist design and has no keypad-so is similar to the Iphone,cos its touch screen.I know its mostly about the looks.I think you get a nice leather Prada case also.

sorry i might have confused the issue ,its the lg phone that looks like the prada phone but it has big camera etc

As the last person in the world NOT to have a phone.....though I DID buy a £10 Orange one for my cafe input.....it's nice to walk about unmolested (well, apart from my usual groupies..... )

Any phone rebadged as a 'designer' phone is basically a fashion-tinsel marketing gimmick where a company sees an opportunity to make a few pounds based on the public craving the latest designer goods because they mistakenly believe they work better than the original. A phone is a tool and should be treated as such, not part of your wardrobe.

All my experience of such devices says that no matter how well implemented, a touch screen is always a bummer compared with a real keypad

Did you see the test of the Iphone on the Gadget show last week? Once more it demonstrated the weakness of touch screens.
