Ls400 Climate Control Lcd Replacement

Recommended Posts

Having followed the info on fixing the dash lights.( Very good info) very easy as well done inless than a hour. I turned my attention to the grey out put of the lcd on the climate control stripped it down to find it is made by Nippon Denso but I have had no luck in sourceing a replacement. I do not have a problem de soldering the many legs off the old unit and resoldering the replacement back on. I dont mind paying for the info but just cant get any where with Nippon Denso.

PS this is a outstanding site for infomation. A big help to owner how dont buy there cars brand new. thanks to everybody who contributed so far.

I got mine from Cheaptoyotaparts. I can't remember the exact cost, but I remember thinking at the time that it wasn't unreasonable.

Not difficult to do if you solder for a living!

Bear in mind that the characters are vertical, not slanted, and can appear to lean backwards when looking at the audio display at the same time! But at least you can read it....

Justr got mine £58.00 for the perfect bit of kit to do it. better than the original made out of glass and better temp range than the standard rubbish lcd display. Not bad 3 days from the USA the guys email is ls400lcd@verizon.net pin for pin conection no moding needed. 25 mins tops to fit it.

This one sounds the business, the one I fitted had a seperate pin correction board to fit as well, making it more fiddly.Plus it was more costly

Having said that, when the job was finished it was spot on.
