Laptops

As it say's I will be getting one for free soon, did someone a favour and the deal was to buy me a new laptop,

I have told him to get me one of them new sony AR series laptop's, comes with the new blue wray dvd gizzmo.

I am not 100% clued up on laptops just need to know if it is any good. I only want it for personal use so it doesn't need to be top spec but I don't want want that needs a jump start to get it going if you know what I mean?

As long as it is quick to perform the tasks I ask it to do I ain't bothered.

I would suggest

Sony dont really do bad laptops with Blu-Ray Drives as it is a bad advert for their own technology.

To run HD content the laptop has to be of a high standard to start with. If the laptop comes with a

Blu-Ray drive, the processor and graphics card should easily be up to a decent standard. It should

be running Vista (yuk but that is on my laptop too) and also have a Core 2 Duo Processor.

Only problem I've ever come across with one is one that had been utilised in a Radiologist environment - needless to say it was fubar'd! No fault of Sony though of course...

Its a good laptop......

but a macbook pro would be better (and yes they can run windows as well before anyone moans)

Thanks for all the input guy's I am still getting the sony but not bothering with the blue wray drive, going for a better spec one bigger memory and all that goes with it,,

Also blagged a free laptop bag out of him...

Not 100% sure on the model as of yet but I should have it by the weekend..

If only you knew how I managed to get a freebie.. Nothing sexual either B)

Well I have got my laptop and have being playing with it now for a few days since getting back and I am pretty immpressed with it .

I can't fault it at the moment.. really quick when I want it to do things.

For those who are interested in which model it is, it is a Sony Vaio VGN-FZ31S. And it has blue ray which I thought Iwas not going to get, bought a couple of DVD's and I am impressed with the quality..

Let you know how I get on with the laptop..
