Hi Guys,

Been ringing around for the local rolling roads for a before and after comparisons.

Heres what they had to say.

Scooby/EVO specialist

£58.75 inc - (fixed rate, should take 20mins)

-They can dyno an N/A car, but cant do supercharged/turbo (cant hold something for long enough)

£112!! (min of one hour labour, even though it they said it will take 45mins)

They can do the run no problems

Chap was very honest and giving good advice and admitted to talking himself out of a job., said they can do it, but the readings would be worthless (esp with big gaps between the readings). Its also more difficult to measure power to intercooled engines, as there fans go to 40mph, and one is on the road at "100mph" lots of extra power can be gained.

Basically he said, he hasnt heard of anyone going super or turbo charged and not enjoying it, and basically told me to stop worrying about the figures. I still feel like I should buy something from him.

i've normally paid about £45 for dyno runs mate so two runs for less than a ton seems right.

how can they be scooby/evo specialists when they cant dyno a forced inducted engine ???

and why exactly cant they ??

I think he means they can do a N/A auto but not F/I, if thats the case it would be interesting to find out why not like you say bazza

it is different..............

trust me it can't be done accurately.............you are wasting your money

Powerstation can definately do turbo cars. The other one in my sig has been there a few times LOL.

EDIT: they are a good bunch too

It's the auto box thing...

If you want comparisons, use one of the accelerometer things out on the road :)
