Rear Suspension Bushes

Mrs Macs car failed the MOT on Sat, 2 x front lower ball joints (easy fix) and excessive play in NSR lower suspension arm. Did a check and it's the one on the Sub Axle Assy that's shot.

Read a few threads on here re this one and it looks like you need to replace the whole stub axle just for the bush.

Has anyone managed to track down a supplier for replacement bushes?

Thanks

Sounds very similar to the problem I had (see thread also titled rear suspension bushes).

If it;s the same location as mine (see drawing in thread) then getting poly bushes maybe difficult due to the requirement of this bush to provide some rear wheel alignment (camber I think).

I bought some poly-urethane bar from an engineering supplies and was going to turn some up on a lathe.

After looking at the problem I saw the alignment requirment first and then thought I'll give it a go anyway.

Then I tried to remove the knackered bushes ......... couldn't budge them at all.

Wouldn't be suprised if it could only be done with a press.

Let us know how you get on.
