Hi I have a 1994 GS300 and the rear bushes are going to fail the MoT. Lexus only sell the complete wishbone and want £200+ each. Has anyone out there had similar problems and more to the point any suggestions for alternative repairs? If only I could get the bushes I know someone who could fit them for me. Thanks for looking and goes without saying would appreciate any help.

Regards

Brian (froomee)

After much searching had to go for new, worth getting quote from chris@cheaptoyotaparts.co.uk. I did and got very good service. Thanks for all your help. Will look out for you all.

I just checked with superflex bushes and their website doesn't list them. I've never seen a replacement bushing kit for the upper arms.

I suspect your options are:

(a) find used upper arms from a breakers yard

(B.) order new ones from a lexus dealer in america (might well work out cheaper than from uk dealer)

Good luck!

Hi Maneesh & Spike thanks for suggestions will keep looking as have a few weeks. My car is mica red that's deep wine colour I suppose. You'll be lucky to see me though as low mileage, but thanks again.

Would be interested to hear if you can find any suppliers for MK1 bushes. I need the rear lower arm bushes as the adjusters have rusted up and I need to get the camber sorted on mine. I really don't want to shell out £500 or more on new bottom arms etc. cry1.gif

Do make sure you get a quote from Sewells before you consider purchasing wishbones from Lexus in the UK. Call up Darryl Diller at Sewells (8 hours behind us in time), and mention that you are a member of ClubLexus to get an extra discount. See what price including shipping he gives you. Add on 17.5% VAT and the duty for car parts (is it 5%?), and it MAY work out cheaper than buying from here.

Hi Maneesh tried to take your advice but all I could find was Toll Free (888...) number which of course doesn't work from UK do you know number? If so would be obliged otherwise will use their email request form.
