i have owned jags and a mint 750il bmw { which i crashed } now i want a ls400, seen one on autotrader and i want it,,, its a 1996 with 127k, looks mint and at £1,700 is it a good buy ????

do the normal checks as you would with any car.

however, bear in mind that it might look mint, but it's done over 100k miles, is 12 years old, and most likely the suspension will require an overhaul, and LS400 suspensions are not cheap to fix up! engines and gearboxes are bulletproof up to 500k tho.

don't even think about buying a LS400 of that age and mileage without getting someone you trust to inspect it, unless you are a mechanic and know what to look for.
