hi,

i have just had my lexus lowered on springs. since i have had it lowered there is a grinding noise from the back driver side wheels. the mechanic says that there is a 'shimmin' missing and i require a new brake kit?

can anyone shed more light on this for me? (e.g. what that means, what needs to be done, cost?)

The brake problem wouldn't be caused by lowering the suspension IMO,

it was either there before (possibly unnoticed) or the Garage has done something.

exactly as wozza says the lowering would not have caused the brake noise, there is an anti rattle spring on top of the rear pads and normal anti squeel shims on the pads, but u no not need to touch this at all to fit lowering springs.

Shimmin does not exist (except in his head)

get a 2nd opinion.
