Shift Light

hello everyone i'm a new lexus owner and i am going to change the dash to blue illumination to match my aftermarket stereo and have found this forum really helpful so a big thanks to the people who's posts i've read but now i need to pick your collective brains i want to fit a shiftlight but i'm gonna fit it stealth like into the original cluster just wondering if any of you have installed a shift light and or know which wire feeds the tachometer on the multiplugs behind the clocks ? also which is power and earth ? thanks for any help you can offer. :winky:

Sorry I haven't got a clue on those questions there but someone on here will do :) I've seen a couple of cars with the shift lights so it's been done somewhere!

I've fitted one like this:

Its just tucked away under the speedo shining up.

Though i'm changing it at the moment so its more yellow in the middle and not orange (which looks like red)

thanks although i'm not sure which wire i need from these diagrams as i found them earlier do you know which wire it is ? or which pin on the plug ? thanks.

Im guessing you have the option to turn that off? That would annoy the hell out of me having a little fairground in my clusters...

If you look in the wiring diagrams bit at the combination meter, and ecu then that will show you the wire and connector.

i've managed to locate the fact that its connectors c10 and c11 but i can't work out which wire it is can anyone who understands wiring diagrams tell me which number is the tacho feed

i feel so dumb :shutit:

It looks like the black wire into pin 14 of the combination meter, to me at least.
