What's wrong with doing it that way?

Just remember that your geometry will be way out after such a drop and you will eat your tires up if you don't get the geometry fully re-set up. Also be ready to potentially have to spend some cash on new suspension components if they have rusted up solid and cannot be adjusted.

IIRC 40mm is the limit really before the geo is unrecoverable - most people including myself go with a 35mm drop with TTe/Eibach (TTE are rebranded Eibach) springs. Only thing is that the drop is relative as different models on different years have a different ride hight - eg mine dropped at least 35mm before it settled on Eibach's.

Tigerfish - I think he was just acknowledging that coilovers are the better way for a drop as the shocks are designed to take it. But I agree with you that a geo checkup is a must after any drop.

Ok so looks like the TTW/eibach ones are what everyones using. where can i get them from?

There are a few different sets on eBay. They got Tein ones, G-max, Apex and Pi. Anyone had any experiences with these?

I had Pi springs on my starlet and they were very good

Yea tigerfish i meant that coilovers are a better option but i just want to get it lowered before i go to USC and i dont have the money to buy coilovers right now
