Hello everyone! I am glad I found such a good website/forum for tips and advice!

I am a new Lexus IS200 owner. It is an 'SE' model.

It's a black 51 plate with just under 90k miles

I have only owned it for over 2 weeks, before it I owned a Peugeot 206 for a year. I was into modifying it.. tastefully I'd like to add, it didn't have dragon stickers on it or a shopping list on the side of a 1.4.. LOL.

I had the 206 GTi alloys on it and a good sound system etc.

But anyway.. :offtopic: I would like to modify the Lexus, I've replaced the bulbs with some 5000k, didn't cost me much and I like the slight blue tint.

all I've thought to do so far is:

-Alloys - I was going to stick to 17" and lower it 35-40mm. These are the alloys I have been looking at: 17" Alloys

-Lower it 35-40mm

-Tints (smoked)

-A sound system (the boot is massive compared to the 206!!)

I've had a look through the forum for some ideas and I didn't notice the IS200 stood so high! I thought it was low enough so I could save money on lowering it (lol!) But after looking at the properly it could do with a slight drop!

Thanks for reading, any advice or tips for a new IS200 owner? :)

Hi & welcome Adz :D

Lowering is a definite must do, there's been a few good deals on the forums lately, one here that's ongoing & a look though will probably find you some more info & choices :)

Hi, welcome along Adz,

Only the sport comes slightly lower than SE model, I think your right tho, they do seem to sit high, i fitted 18's to my sport and didn't go too low profile on the tyres to try and fill the arch's a bit, but i could still do with being lower!!

Cant give you too much info about drop heights (sure someone in the know will be along shortly) Read mebut mr mole has lowered his SE, rolled the arch's and fitted 19's on his, so there is lots of options, best to go big first time, instead of regretting it later :whistling:

A change of head unit for your install will be the best money you'll spend, as there will probably come a day when the lex one will s**t itself just all of ours has!!!!!!

Best of luck

I would go for 18's rather than 17's, when I first went back to 17's from 18's it looked very strange, looks normal now tho they been on for 2 years lol
