Time To Replace The Wheels

Recommended Posts

Ladies and Gents

I have a silver Altezza with alloys in poor condition. Have had quotes for refurb, but am tempted to put money towards new wheel and tyre set. Was thinking along the lines of black with polished rim and upsizing to 18".

Hoping for some suggestions for wheels that are understated but really enhance the look of the car, but not make it look like I've popped to Ripspeed for some chav specials.

Also, if upsizing to 18", would I need spacers etc?

Cheers for now

copied from wheels and tyres section, there is pinned info on this and offset info by monster mat, forgive me but i think that you think spacers give more clearance from the top of the tyre and wheel arch, this is not the case, they add on to the hub to make the wheel stick out further, giving a wider/fatter stance etc, you will just need lower profile tyres,

PCD = 114.3mm Offset = 50mm

Standard Rim f/r = 17"x7"

Standard Tyre f/r = 215/45-17

(A -40mm drop is possible with this combination)

18" upgrade f/r =18"x7 1/2"

18" upgrade f/r =225/40/18

18" upgrade f/r =18"x8"

18" upgrade f/r =225/40/18

18" upgrade r =18"x8.5"

18" upgrade r =255/35-18

(A -30mm drop is possible with these combinations, however minor arch rolling is needed with the 255/35 combination)
