Can An Aftermarket Cd Changer Be Installed If Standard Hu Cd Is Broke

Thanks for the reply mate.

I was hoping to keep the factory HU in tact to listen to the radio and then hook up an aftermarket cd changer to listen to cd's, rather than spend daft money on a new HU or an aftermarket one, as i have a cd changer in my garage?

Yes, you will need to get a fascial adapet to fill the huge space once the standard HU is out.

i think it would be hard to hook up a cd changer to the standard head unit.

you will need the amp bypass cable and a facia kit for a aftermarket head unit and if you have sat nav then you need a sat nav bypass cable so the satnva works as standard.

As you see from my previous post I think it does depend on which model of head unit you have and I think the CD changer would need to be the right one for your car i.e. a Toyota one.

im sure it can be done, the grom audio adapter allows you to connect an IPOD to the player and use the cd changer funtions so im sure it must be possible, but it is a lot of wiring, if you want it to look neat that s
