I havent been camping in over 10 years!! but am considering it for JAE since the price of hotels around billing is :tsktsk: and Mop's sister can't put us up.

I have found a package deal for a 5-man tent with porch, 2 sleeping bags and 2 roll mats for 125 quid..

This looks a good deal to me, but i know nothing! :lookaround: so can anyone advise if this is a good buy before i part with my hard earned cash...

only £25 each then :whistling:

a quick view on tents is you get what you pay for

a p*****d up weekend any thing will do

up the side of a mountain, better spend some money

at the end of the day all you want is a rain shelter, so make sure it is water proof and not just shower proof

porch is good for taking off muddy shoes before you walk all over your bed

My concern is spending a lot of money on a tent that I only use for JAE, then it ends up in the attic for a year....

I have found a 3-man for 50 quid... it might not be great.. but I'm not planning on climbing mountains with it...

all depends on you

i like my home comforts and havent tented for years

but it can be great fun, but its not home !!!

i have the advantage/disadvantage of kids who set tents up in garden and have freinds over or partys so they do get some use

as i said the most important thing is being waterproof

comfort is what you put into it
