Hi,

It's come time for my IS 250 to get new front boots (225/40/18)..

I have been looking at blackcircle and thinking of getting Falken FK-452 put on. However they only use standard black valves.

I have contacted them and they said I need to supply my own valves if I want anything other than standard black.

I have silver ones on right now. Does anyone know where to buy them... Google searches only show dust caps not the valves.

Any help would be appricated.

Thanks

I think you are referring to the polished metal sleeves. If so they fit over the standard black rubber valves and are retained by the metal dust caps, so you can refit them to the new valves..

Hi Thanks for that...

I'll see if I can take off the sleeve before I go to get tyres changed. Mine are only half silver and the half is black so I will see if I can get it off without scratching them.

Thanks once again!

Make sure you make it obvious from the start you want to keep the silver valve(s).

I recall having my front wheel changed and a black nasty valve installed, after much deliberation eventually getting the mechanic to change the wheel and putting a silver valve back on at no extra cost.

I was in Kwikfit last weekend getting a puncture repaired on my wife's car, and noticed that they offer a very similar chrome sleeve and cap for £1 per wheel. Not sure about the quality, but they certainly looked similar and just slide over the valve body.
