Hi all, I have a 1995 ls400 and coming home tonight a exclaimtion mark in brackets came up on the dash, I have no books for the car, could any kind soul please tell me what this is for?

From memory it could be 2 things. Most likely one of your brake lights stopped working. The other is brake pad wear sensor iirc.

handbrake or brake fault probably low brake fluid

On mine it was low life left on the pads .. BUT what is low to some people was about 4000 miles left to my service guy .... plenty of meat left on them ! Guess it's just a Lexus safety margin !

Probably brake light bulb has occured twice to me in 2 years!

That is the warning for low brake fluid check the level and top up if required then keep an eye on it, the level does drop as the pads wear.

Thank you all for your replies, just found out its only a brake warning light, had visions of discs and pads needing doing, or brake fluid loss, happy days!!
