Importing Springs?

Has anyone imported lowering springs from the US?

If so, was it an easy process and did you have to pay much in the way of duty?

I am asking because I am looking for H&R or Eibach springs for my LS III :)

I have bought a few times from the US, only once did I get stung by customs - all I had to pay extra was VAT on the sale price plus some other nominal charge if I remember correctly.

Would it not be easier to get them from Eibach UK (01455286524 - the CEO Julian Gill is very helpful) or even the parent company in Germany?

I purchased a set of Eibach springs from the USA, but only because I was over there and could bring them back as luggage.

You must have flown with Virgin Atlantic with no luggage weight restrictions,I think with the normal 20KGs from the likes of Thomsons it would have been a struggle!
