I have a Mk II GS300. Recently the alarm has begun to play up. It kicked off the other day (whilst I was in the bathroom of course), and wouldn't deactivate. I ended up driving the car to a country lane, and waited for it to switch off or the AA to arrive - which ever was the sooner.

30 minutes after it started, it turned off.

A few hours later the same thing happened. Again - I couldn't deactivate it. (This time, I was in cambridge outside a police station). I ended up driving it home and disconnecting the main Battery.

I have no manuals at all for this car.

Is there any way to disable the alarm, or find out what is causing it to trigger?

Regards

Rob

Would it not turn off with fob? it will go off if there is a drop in power ie Battery low, it also wil go off if window is cracked open or if a door as not locked,or if you have a in car phone.

sorry these are the only things i can help you with, hope someone else on here can help you

I should have mentioned - the fob Battery is flat - I haven't found a replacement yet. No-one around me seems to carry the right one.

I have the same issue: did changing the Battery of the fob work for you?

In my case I think it is the aftermarket SCM siren what's playing up. I can't find it, does anybody know where that siren is located?

It's defenitely NOT one of the 3 visisble horns, because I detached all (and still the alarm goes off).

And can someone help me pinpoint the real problem here? This is really annoying!
