Totally thanks to the Lexus Owners Club (and in particular members Dave1, PGLex, and breezeblock) I have potentially saved £2k - £3k in expenditure. How? Well, I was in the process of buying a 2005 GS300SE from a dealer, as explained in my topic on ECU problem. Thanks to the advice I received from LOC members, I approached the Lexus main dealer on my concerns about a potential ECU problem, and also my requirement to have the two outstanding recall items carried out. What a result!! The Lexus main dealer has fitted a new ECU, and oxygen sensors, and this work was paid for in full by the dealer from whom I've now bought the car. Oh yes, and the Lexus dealer also did both recalls. Thanks again to all, and I'm so pleased I've subscribed to the Lexus Owners Club for two years as a Gold Member.

that is a really good result. Sounds like the dealer is pretty straight too so contact dealer immediately if anything else goes wrong in next 6 months.
