My brother has bought an S2000 from one of thease auctions.

He had to spend a few quid getting it to pass the SVA test.

1 - Have the speedo changed to MPH

2 - Front lights changed

3 - Fog lights added

Also sometimes the tyres need to be changed for UK spec.

All it costs for an ESVA package is approx £500

why would the front lights need changing.....japan and the uk are both RHD

fog lights yes understand that.....and speedo, but the speedo is a resistor with 3 wires thats all

I'm looking at the poss of getting a small runabout (Micra/Yaris) to collect the dinks in the supermarket and sundry other car parks instead of my Lexus.I know they are abundant in the UK but I just wondered what sort of bang you got for the buck in Japan, espec if they have more recent models/better specs!

Lexus Southampton told me that Lexus is going to be marketed under that name in Japan the country of its origin. This will help to knock the Toyota Altezza on the head and the only model will be a genuine Lexus marketed throughout the world.

Lexus will launch in 2005. Probably at the same time as the new IS model. Now will the new IS be a Toyota or a Lexus?

Thanks Colin information very useful.

According to local Lexus dealer the new IS will be made by Lexus and already plans are being worked out for all the dealerships to be entirely separate from Toyota that is up market Lexus showrooms.
