i have bought the IS 220d very recently 06 plate, love the car etc. Some thing strange happened, the car was parked on my parents drive, the wife was driving it, she was very scared that the brakes were not working properly as she was trying reverse the car out of the drive. the car had stalled and on reverse gear and started to roll back wards at that point she was applying the brakes but nothing happened, as it was after school time cars coming from both direction, she was extremely lucky to escape an accident. further more the wife looked down to check she was pressing the correct pedals and it was the brakes playing up, whilst all of that was happening she also turned the ignition on and off and eventually the brakes worked. Could some one kindly tell us what might of happened? and is it worth getting the car checked out even though we have been driving the car as normal?
