Sat Nav Install Help Needed

Just won the above item through eBay, basically looking for a word of advice on installing it (and what the larger box item is on the right). And is the standard lexus sat nav actually any good, i use a tom tom currently but always fancied one of these.

my car is a standard IS200 02 plate, from memory i know the cables are there from when i installed my DVD player is it a simple case of plug, earth it and off you go ?

Well, you'll need the loom installing....

Better off just using the housing and putting in a Sony unit like so many on here, or 'on the other side' have done- (myself included)..

what model is the Sony satnav ? and whats the process of fitting it where the LEXUS version should be.

that is useless for you one member got told by lexus to fit sat nav to his car he would have to pay nearly 7k!!you need the whole wiring loom to fit this...if you give stav a pm im sure he'll sort you out...you can sent him the unit and a sony sat nav and he'll build you one for some pennys..i have one of his sat navs fitted and its never let me down..

then you can sell the sat nav boxes

The other bits will probably be hard to sell, and if you do they won't be worth much.

But just the motorised housing on it's own can sometimes sell for over £150 so you got a fantastic deal even if you just throw the other bits away! :)
