Strange Buzzing Sound Ls430

Hi, I'm new to this.

This ls430 is my third Lexus, and I love it. But sometimes there is a strange buzzing sound behind the dash when I park up. When I put the rear windscreen or front windscreen heater on, the sound goes away. When I'm driving there is no buzzing sound either, its just sometimes when I park up. Any ideas what it could be?

Hello Erik and welcome to the LOC.

Not heard of the problem you have before but wondering with it sounding heating related if you have something in the air ducts like a dry leaf which is causing the noise, it may be worth checking te pollen filter for debris.

Your probably right, I was driving through a lot of snow on the motorway yesterday from Bolton to Birmingham. How would I look for the dirt, where do I start? It's only been happening since driving through the blizzard yesterday. Thank you for your help.

Not sure where the pollen filter is in the LS430 but they are normally under the passenger side dash area or at the rear of the glove box, if you have the owners handbook it may mention it in there.

Another one to check is the air intake vents around the wiper arm spindles where debris also collects.

Thanks, ill give it a go tomorrow, how would I clean the debris under the wipers arms? Would I have to take something under the wipers arm out first?
