Abs Judder?

Ive recently had the passenger side sensor replaced on my is200 sport (w reg year 2000) and then needed to have the abs light and trac control light switched off from the dashboard, as its been on due to a disrupted and damaged sensor while replacing the ball joint. Now since the lights have been reset on the dashboard the driver side break is playing up. when pressed slowly its fine if u give it a little bit more the drivers side break starts breaking then appears to lock up for a half a second, and u can also feel the peddle resisting and then jumps down abit to continue the press on the break peddle to stop the car? Only been like this since lights have been reset.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx :phone:

Hi mate.

It sounds like sticking slide pins on the brake calliper it's a common problem.

Just remove the calliper remove the pins give them a light rub with some wet n dry then just re grease them.

That should cure the problem.

Also was the replacement ABS sensor an OEM replacement, was the seating surface cleaned before it was installed, the air gap set correctly and was the toothed reluctor wheel checked for damage.

Before the sensor was replaced the fault would have disabled the ABS but now it has been reset the ABS should be functioning normally but if the signal from the sensor is still not correct possibly due to one of the above reasons it may cause the problem you now how buy I would have expected a warning light to reappear also.
