2006-7 Sat Nav Dvd Rubbish

No post code search. Channel Tunnel not there. Lots of other locations not on database. Will not accept Lat\Long with a single digit. ie: 1:07:19. (I've tried 01, no luck.) Does anyone know if the 2010-11 is any better?

Update DVDs are eu150 from the Netherlands. What do UK dealers sting you for?

I have ordered the update from the Netherlands, 152 euro. Lexus UK want £150.

Post code search and Channel Tunnel on my 07 DVD. I wonder if someone changed your DVD for an earlier one. Have you had the car from new?

Thanks for that. "Its me being rubbish." My DVD is 2006/7, I have the 2010/11 on the way from the Netherlands, euro 152. Lexus UK wanted £150.

Tried to use my sat-nav the other day when the duel carriageway was closed due to an accident - version was absolutely rubbish!

Going to invest in a newer one for £39.99 (not via Lexus).

If it is only half as good as the one in my Saab, I will be happy!

I wish I'd seen that satnavi website before I ordered from Europe. I wonder if they're genuine? Let us know if the disk is any good.

No - They are not. They are illegal copies. They try and get round that fact and protect themselves from prosecution by saying that they provide a 'backup facility' for the software that you already own. They provide these illegal copies on the asumption that you have the original in your possession but do not have the means to back up the discs yourself.

Of course if this was tried in a court of law, they would throw the book at them since your 'back up' would have the same embedded serial number as every other one they have sold !!

My genuine DVDs arrived from the EU today. Four disks. I holiday in Europe every year, usually driving from Calais to the German Baltic coast, returning via ferry from Denmark or Amsterdam. To complete the journey with maximum detail on the satnav entails three changes of disk.

UK to France: West Disk

Germany: Central Disk

Denmark: North Disk

UK: West Disk

I can see why newer systems are HD based.
