Panel Filter

hi guys. i own a 1996 gs300 mk1 sport. does anyone run a gs300 mk1 with a panel filter fitted i am thinking about getting one for mine but dont know what difference a panel filter makes.

i also want to change my auto gearbox fluid is it just the fluid you change or is there a filter in the box you have to change aas well.

any help would be most greatfull.

hello mate, got the k&n panel fitted

but my experience is, not much has changed...

if i can flog this i may look into an intake like this

I've had a K&N one fitted on all three of my GS's so far. I didn't notice any performance increases, but fuel consumption did seem to improve slightly, albeit not a huge amount.

I fitted a K&N panel filter when I bought the car so I can't comment on what if any difference it made, but it must be better than OE if purely for its for life.
