Yesterday I thought I'd try the open all windows and sun roof trick, holding the unlock button on the fob for a few seconds.

That worked fine, however, when attempting the reverse, holding the close button, they all closed fine, but the O/S/R then opened half way again.

It now does it whichever way you close it, manual or auto - closes fully then rebounds to half open position - the only solution is to dab the button until it's 99% closed (so closed to all appearances) and leave it at that.

I had a similar problem on a nearly new Avensis, but that was a sunroof losing its memory and Toyota fixed it while I waited under warranty, so I assume it was a simple button pushing exercise.

Anybody had this problem, or knows the fix?

Thanks Mark and Steve, I'll be taking another look this afternoon, assuming I can prise Mrs V from the driving seat, and I'll bear your posts in mind.

Mrs V, by the way, was reluctant to get an LS - too big, automatic, etc, etc, - till she drove it, now I need dynamite to get her out.

I don't know if I've read this or dreamed it but try holding the window switch for a further 5 seconds after the window fully opens then the same when you fully close.

Take a bow Steve, after checking as Mark suggested and all looking well, I did the routine you suggested, and the window wound up fully and stayed there.

Thanks again to you both.
