Low Battery Warning?

Recommended Posts

I was sorting stuff out in the car earlier, using a compressor to do the tyres and had the doors open and the radio on. I thought I'd turned the engine on but I'd only turned it far enough for the dashboard lights to come on. After about 30 minutes the radio turned off and the car started beeping at me. Realised my mistake and started the engine and my tunes started playing again. With all the Battery problems is this something they added later on to warn people or was it on all models/ages. could not find anything in the owners manual about it.

i can only assume it was a warning for the Battery being low, I didn't notice any warnings on the dashboard.

I believe it is partly to protect your Battery, this also happens in my car, I often take my daughter to her trombone lessen, and I normally sit in the car and Waite for her for a hour, can be a bit annoying when it suddenly cuts out half way through watching a film. If you had not started the car and just turned the ignition off and back on again everything would have just come back on and cut out again after another 30 mins, if your Battery starts to get really low the car will go into “load shed” and will gradually stop electrical gadgets being used, like the seats. but It will always leave enough in the Battery to start the car.
