What Do You Know? Lpg Ls400 Are Like Buses - You Wait For Ages And Two

Recommended Posts

Hi it is a mark 4, Prins is a good gas conversion & 154k with history is nothing, I would say its a bit of a bargain. The brakes could be the pads sticking on the calliper pins. If you test drive it press the brake pedal hard down to the floor a couple of times before you drive off & see if the juddering is apparent, if not its the pads on the pins. As to the oil change issue running on gas the oil stays clean as there are no carbon deposits as with petrol i change mine with synthetic Castrol once a year 12000 miles, it comes out as clean as the new oil.

The expensive wear items have been replaced wishbones ball joints & the cambelt , If I was looking for one I would 100% be looking at it. With an offer of £1700 you will probably buy it . Just my peneths worth as it seems a genuine car which shouldn't need much if anything spending on it. Mine is coming up for 190k & with 60k of that on gas is running smoother now than when I bought it 5 years ago, the gas cleans the engine cats & exhaust system over time.

Best of luck Mark

Thanks Mark. I appreciate your advice and the advice of all the others on here. I"m going to make him an offer for it today, subject to a satisfactory viewing and test drive soon.
