Headlight Painting?

Hi was wondering if anyone has used black plasti-dip to spray the chrome on their headlights instead of going to the hastle of keying it down with wet and dry? Surely quicker and easier with same result?

Does it stand up to fairly high temperatures?

Well this would be the only problem I could think of,but a dont know the answer lol,

If they can dip alloys then cant see why not?

Think that video answers you qusetion, if you lights get as hot as that heat gun then it would melt your lenses anyway...

May as well do a how to mate. Some one will find it useful. Ive already done mine using spray paint though. Angel eyes aswell

Yea think am gna get tge angel eyes aswell,did u use the ones of eBay?i read on a thread somewhere they were actually the best as they were more robust than the expencive ones?

Yeah mine were off eBay. First time i got a faulty ring and then i snapped one lol. But they all good now. Look awesome!

I,v always fancied angel eyes on my is, but whats the life span on the CCFL rings?

I'd hate to strip the light fit them, then after a year or so have a ring let go on me and have to re-do the whole thing again!

No idea how long they are meant to last. I hope a while though lol. If they go, they go! If one goes ill just unplug the same one the other side and hope it looks alright. should do.
