Hello all, iv just retrofitted the is200 satnav into a non satnav version replacing the screen with a tom tom. The only problem i have is that when i press the open/close button it tilts instead. Any wiring ideas you have would be appreciated!!!

Have a good look through all the threads on this forum relating to the Sat Nav unit. Someone was asking this fairly recently and an answer was given relating to two wires if I remember correctly. Somebody gave quite a good account about putting a tablet or Tom Tom type thingy into the tilit unit. Mind you he was replacing this in a Navigator so the tilt mechanism was already wired in.

Somewhere at home I have the full electrics CD for my old is200. If I can find it I'll have a go at copy and paste of the relevant bit if nobody else comes back with an answer..but I suspect they will.

Yep, all those wires were done. That was the easy part. I attached it to a transformer before installing and it did the same thing. I asumed the transformer wasnt powerful enough to open and close it

i remember someone did ask this question before.... could might be the " little level pin" that didn't at his place

double check and see if that pin is in place mate

ah yes!

the potentiometer on the side wont be in place properly, its the slidy thing on the side of the screen unit
