What The Part?

Ever since i had the crash in the Lex (09) and had the front repaired i sometimes got a rattle in the drivers door, it only happened niow and then so was not a major a$$ ache, so today i took the door card off and found this floating about the bottom of the door!

Doors back together and all works as before, so what is that for?

Lexus parts normally have the part number stamped on them and I can't see anything like it on the exploded parts diagram.

If you really want to know you may have to open up the passenger door and compare parts.

Looks like the anti theft plate which fits over door lock, so you cant use bent wire ect to open door.

Well if thats all it is im not going to remove the door card just to re-fit it, use glad the rattles gone lol...

I hate rattles, spent ages when i first bought the car trying to find a rattle that seemed to be behind dashboard, After hours of dismantling tapping trims ect, turned out to be a metal pipe under bonnet tapping on bulkhead.

I have a similar rattle story lol

Spent days trying to work out where the rattle behind the dash was coming from.

Turned out to be the red plastic that covers the positive terminal on the Battery flapping about everywhere under the bonnet!

I dont do rattles at all, i even make the misses sit in silence when she's in the car with me!!!
