Mk4 Ls400, Onboard Computer Help Please...

Recommended Posts

I did a search on here but found nothing, my MK4 running on LPG keeps saying on the dash tank range 0Mi altho I have 1/4 tank, I even put another £10 (2 gallon should show at least 20 miles) in to double check the gauge was ok, pressed reset on multiple things but no success

any ideas ?

The gauge also takes it's reading from the ecu, so it thinks the petrol must be going down as the car is moving hence the gauge dropping even though you are on gas and not using petrol.

Tried to be clear as possible and hope im clear enough...LOL

make's sense, when I first got the car I put fuel in it and it registered 130 miles left I think, not used that much of the petrol but a fair amount of LPG in the meantime... guess I'll have to find another thing for it to display, while i'm on topic, what's the function button for ? just dosn't seem to do anything on my car (not sure if it's working as I'm not sure what it should change)

The function button only comes into play if you have a fault to go back to the normal display( ie brake wear indicator).

You would have to put about £20 to £30 of petrol in to get the mileage contdown to reset.

I am flabbergasted about this!

2 gallons (9 litres) for £10? Whereabouts is your car located? 2005?

2 gallons ish, think it's £1.35 here, I don't buy the expensive stuff often! LPG is around 70p here

That would last the life of the car! Unless I run out of LPG and can't find a refill station, only cost me £80 ish for 400 miles in the wife's mk3 for our last holiday 2 weeks ago
