Need Help For Buying Tyres For Is200

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi mates,

I would like to buy a decent tyre (225/45r17) for is200, good quality, with the possible longest run and the best quality/price . I know that different companies mean the tread wear ratings differently.

Please recommend.

Thanks!

Csaba

the second figure of a tyre size is the height expressed as a percentage of width.

Therefore if you have 215/45 the height is approx. 97mm

Change the tyre to 225/45 and the height increases to 101mm

This isn't a huge different and will probably make your speedo a little bit more accurate (i.e. won't read over as much)

I try to focus on the longest lasting, without loosing too much on grip, comfort, noise. Somebody, somewhere else recommended Toyo Proxy 4. On my list also are: Hankook OPTIMO 4S H730 and Pirelli CINTURATO P7, but no real experience so far.
