Help for a Virgin

Recommended Posts

Afternoon everyone. I am (almost certainly) going to buy a 200 on Sunday. Have put a deposit down and just need to give it a spin round the block and make sure I can get the pram in the boot  However, I was wondering what sort of things I should be on the lookout for. I'm not too worried as I will be buying from a Main Dealer (Lexus Woodford), and the car is ex-demo (Jan 2002). Only drawback is the wife says it has to be an automatic :?:

Hi, yo u have made the right choice in motor! Make sure you look over the car thoroughly before you hand over the dosh. The IS 200 seems to have a poor reputation for paint quality. Look out especially for any stone chips and have them sorted by the dealer.

Also, make sure they give you the papaer with the serial number on for the wheel locks. The serial number is not on the key itself.

Otherwise - just enjoy.
