Anyone know what the warning entails when the tyre pressure monitoring system is activated? Is it just a flashing light or does it also come with a warining chime? - I will be fitting my winter wheels soon and they don't have the tpms valves fitted so I am just wondering how much of a distraction the warning will cause since my understanding is that the system cannot be disabled manually.

My light is on at the moment, though the pressures are OK so it must be a faulty sensor or connector somewhere. There is no chime, just the amber warning light.

Thanks Alpine - I can live with that - its not worth the expense of having a new set of valves fitted if that is all that I have to put up with - naturally I will keep an eye on the pressures more closely myself during the winter months

Probably does, Terry. I am rather lazy though and can't be bothered to exit my couch to go to the car to get said handbook.
