Would any of you guys know if these side steps stick out enough to stop the arseholes banging their doors against my RX400h is supermarkets ?

Oh.....you have just alerted me to something I never realised, my Mk1 RX has lovely big plastic body colour trim panels covering the complete lower edge of the doors and as such I have never and I mean NEVER had a single "dink" in my door panels, sure lots of little chips in the trim covers but then they are just paint chip and no panel damage, easy to repair in minutes.

I was thinking about trading up to a 400H this year as my '03 has been a sturdy companion for 7 years and over 70K miles without major mishaps.

I never even thought to check the supermarket knob side protection equipment.
