Decarbonising Engine And Fuel System

Treated my LS400 1996 to a Decarbonising Treatment at a local Terra Clean shop (as seen on Wheeler Dealers). Not sure if I sense any change yet,will keep you all posted. Cost was £155 and took about two hours.

I seem to remember something like this in Car Mechanics magazine a few years ago, I think they did a pre/post emissions test which did show improvement after the event.

The question is what does it claim to do and will you recover the £155.00 in fuel savings?

Some audi models suffer with carbon build up and this helps them. A dyno run will tell you if you have an issue.

Hi Thanks for the feedback. The reason I decided to go for this treatment was that when I bought the car a year ago last September I noticed that it had failed a previous Mot on emissions. It just scraped a pass this time hence the decision. Ed China seemed to think it worked on their BMW.

Be interesting to see if it has done the job,any chance of getting the MOT station to retest the emissions now it's been done?

In my time, olden days I guess, if the car seemed carboned-up one just belted it down the motorway and that shifted all the crap .... happened a few times for me on various cars, a big Volvo and a old 3 series BMW come readily to mind .... they just " flew " afterwards.
