Box Of Locking Wheel Nuts In The Glove Compartment

Hey the box in my glove compartment which says 'locking wheel nuts' on it contains a plastic plunger thingy, a wheet nut key thingy and 4 normal nuts, not locking nuts.

Now unless I'm confused, locking nuts require a key right?

So I have been given 4 normal nuts instead of locking nuts... right??

dont know if you have just brought new or second hand

the box should have 4 ordinary nuts , a plastic cover remover and a locking nut socket

the nuts should be the spare ones the locking nuts replaced

check what you have on your wheels

The Lexus locking nuts don't use keys they use a socket with pins that locate into holes on the actual nut. The pin pattern varies between sets so you need the correct socket. The plastic plunger is used to remove the caps from the locking nuts so that you can fit on the socket.

As Bazza said the normal nuts you have in the box are the ones the locking ones replaced. The locking ones should be on the car

you have checked to see if any of the nuts on the wheels have got caps on them eh :P
