Rear Screen Issues

HI

My rear screen will not de-mist, the mirrors work fine but not the rear screen. is there a fuse or relay and where are they? it's a 1997 'P' plate car..

hi

does the button illuminate when pressed? if yes then that would rule out the fuse so it could be the relay or the have a look at the screen element itself for broken tracks

yes the button does work and the mirrors work fine, the screen looks ok, wheres the relay?

According to the wiring diagram the relay powers both the mirrors and rear screen so if the mirrors are working so is the relay.

This would suggest either a problem with the wiring from the relay to the rear demister or the demister element itself.

There is a choke coil mounted in the left rear of the boot which the 12 volt supply passes through before it reaches the demister element.

Another possibility is the earth connection on the demister is not connected.

thanks guys for the help so far. can u point out the choke coil looks like? and where in the left boot space is it, is it part of the rear fuse box
