By IS250 has just hit 3 years and it's first MOT, Local dealer is offering year 4, 5 and 6 service plan which includes MOT costs for £1120 or 32 payments of £35, sounds expensive at first sight but equates to £373 per year which for main dealer servicing is not so bad? any thoughts?

If that includes all parts and labour I'd say it's pretty decent VFM for main dealer servicing.

You could try ringing around for serving prices to get a better idea.

Sounds good to me, I guess that is from Lexus Mk? Great honest reliable dealer, I have been under service contract with them for years finding their collect service and attitude spot on. I am much nearer to the Cambridge dealer but couldn't get on with them.

My IS250 SE 2006 is booked into Lexus Glasgow for an interim service on 07/02 and I have advised them that I want to discuss a service plan at that point, so I will post to let you know what price I am quoted.

When I spoke to the service department they did say it was would likely be more expensive than the Lexus essential plan (which apparently you need to agree with Lexus direct and is £22.95 per month), however they explained that the essential plan is like a sort of limited service plan and does not include as much as the service you get direct from the dealership. I have still to get them to confirm exactly what is difference but I will let you know how I get on.

I've found an ex=dealer master technician who has started his own garage in Nottingham and charges around half the price of the main dealer for services with genuine parts fitted. I now go there and you have the option to fit aftermarket parts if you wish at a further discount.
