Trottle Control Moter Lock Malfuntion

Recommended Posts

Martin, look very carefully to see if any vacuum lines are uncoupled or damaged. You will need to remove the engine cover. On U.S. cars your problem throws up the code P1128 which refers to the throttle control motor lock. (Our cars are not as strictly OBD2 compliant as the U.S. cars, so harder to read, and expensive at Lexus). An owner there had this code and it turned out to be just a damaged vacuum line. If it is, it's an easy fix.
