Iv recently noticed theres a small delay from me revving the engine to the engine actually revving

I used the cable at the throttle body and the cable moves then theres a small delay then the engine revs...

Does anyone know exactly what needs changing or can something be done without replacement

I have adjusted the throttle cable so it idles perfectly...

The cable doesn't normally operate the throttle directly, that is a secondary system in case the drive by wire throttle motor fails. You cannot control the idle speed via the throttle cable - make sure there is some play in the cable when the accelerator pedal isn't being pressed.

There will be a very small delay, if yours is excessive then firstly I would clean the throttle body - have a search on the forums, there are plenty of threads related to that. If you still have problems then the throttle position sensor should be adjusted correctly, after that you are looking problems with the throttle motor.
