bank 1 sensor 1 is for cylinders 1 - 3 at the front of the engine on the exhaust manifold / down pipe. This is used to adjust the air/fuel ratio when the engine is in closed-loop mode.

bank 2 sensor 1 is for cylinders 4 - 6 at the rear of the engine on the exhaust manifold / down pipe. This is used to adjust the air/fuel ratio when the engine is in closed-loop mode.

bank 1 sensor 2 is to check for catalytic converter efficiency and is located after the main cat on the exhaust under the vehicle.

Whilst B1S2 is to check for the cat efficiency, the P0136 error is a sensor error rather than a cat error, so a problem was detected in the sensor wiring or the sensor itself. Are you using an OEM sensor? Some third party O2 sensors don't have the correct resistance and the ECU thinks the sensor is faulty.
