Just a quickie guys

Have a 06 ls430 with keyless entry (which I love btw, no more fumbling in the rain or wife's handbag for the keys)

Anyway, the unlock button on the key fob opens the windows and sunroof when held down but the reverse action does not close them again.

My question is should holding the close switch close all the above?

Does it need programming or is it only the open facility which is available?

The lock button should close all windows including sunroof when held down, 5 seconds i think you need to hold it before it starts to activate.

You also need to be close to the car, not across the car park.

Hi...

i find there maybe a bit of a delay.... i normally press to lock the doors and then hold the lock button down again for 5 seconds and everything normally closes!

Good point Nightman ( and welcome to the LOC) I also seem to remember reading somewhere it needs to be pressed once to lock and then the extended press for auto closure.

LS430 does not have the closing function on the remote.

I'm assuming yours only opens everything too then?

None of my keyfobs close the windows or sunroof

I can only open the windows. I understand only LS430's sold outside of Europe can close the windows

My 430 has the close function from the remote

My LS400 has that function and it works well so the 430 surely must have it? But on mine you do need to hold the button (open or close) until you're satisfied with the result (fully open, partially closed, whatever).

LS430 does not have the closing function on the remote.

Just tested my ls430 53 plate,

I can guarentee mine has just unlocked and the windows opened plus sunroof with a 5 second press and hold on the open button on the fob.

It also closed all windows and sunroof and locked the car with a 5 second press and hold on the fob.

You can open close the windows partially by letting go when the windows are moving, or just keep pressing and they will fully shut or open depending on which button you using.

Did it 3 times in a row to ensure that luck or fairies were getting involved.

Mine is a Europe model, so i guessing all 430's should have this feature.

More than 50 feet away it just unlocks and locks, no window movement.
