Ls 430 2001

Hi Folks.

Has anyone had any problems with the rear diff on their ls 430. At first I thought it was the rear wheel bearing which i replaced but after further investigations it looks like it is the diff. Does anyone know where you can get them overhauled or can it be fixed by replacing any bearings.

My radio seems to have a mind of its own regarding when it wants to work. It seems like an intermittent fault.

Anyone any ideas.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

I've never heard of a diff failure on any LS model, have you checked the oil level or if correct drained it to check the condition and for the presence of metalic particles?

If it has failed the best way would probably find a good used one from a scrapper/write off.

As for the radio it does sound like a bad intermittent connection somewhere so may be a case of pulling the head unit and checking the wiring looms/plugs/sockets.
