Hi everybody,

I have been looking at 2011-2012 plate ct200h in the premier trim from the approved lexus dealerships.

Are there any particular year changes that I should be aware of? is a 11 plate car the same as a 61 and which would you go for?

Does the ct200h have any reliability issues at all, I know Lexus perform very well in the surveys.

Finally what is the likely depreciation of the ct200h?

Regards

The major change was between 63 and 14 plate cars noticeable by the front grill amongst other things so a 2011 or 12 car should be similar. If you don't mind not having the latest model it is probably better value to get the old model. Used values have dropped on late old model cars.

The only think to think about is the warranty will be up when the car is 3 years old so try and get an extended warranty thrown in. Battery warranty is longer than three years.

Had my 63 plate for a year and no issues so far.

We have an 11 plate with 40K miles. No issues at all. Replaced the goo in the spare wheel well with a space saver. Retro fitted speed control. Had 16" wheels as an option, havent experienced any harsh ride issues mentioned in the press. There is one very great advantage which the Lexus has going for it.... Jeremy Clarkson hates them!

Mine has only done 21k, just over a year old but no issues and to be honest you don't really hear of anything. One check I would do which you wouldn't normally think - open both front doors and check that the paint is not damaged underneath the very bottom edge of the door. several times I have opened my door and caught it on the pavement if the pavement is only a little higher than normal. Just make sure it's been touched in and no rust has started.

Very nice, congratulations! Guessing that is for 3 services? Just paid about £450 for a 2 services inc 2 x MOT service plan.

Seems a good price if it's 2 x full service 1 x int, bit expensive other way around.

Cost of service plan depends on cars mileage and next 3 services due - each service cost from 159, 350 (or so) up to over 450 for service at 60 000 miles. There is also MOT included. Whatever you have to pay the final price for 3 services is discounted, so it is worth buying. Also if service price rises you won't be charged more.

Make sure the service plan covers the mileage you are going to travel. My plan acknowledged I was doing 15k per year but the payments were only for 10k per year meaning I had a £109 bill on the first service...
