Hi Guys,

Ive done a search for info on lowering my is but cant find anything specific on my question. So here goes, I was talking to a mechanic friend in the pub last night about lowering the IS200 and costs, he said that if I got the springs he would fit them for £50 (a v good friend). He wanted to know if any other modifications were needed on the suspension or if it was a direct swap?

Also wheres the best place to get a set with my Gold Discount?

Cheers

Jasp

hi Jasper,

it is a straight swap for the springs, the fronts are simple to do, but the rears are a little bit more difficult - if you dont have a crows foot then you will have to disconnect the suspension arm - you will see what i mean when doing the job- alignment/tracking is a must after fitting the springs.

Before any bolts are removed just check to see if they are cam adjusting ones and if so mark the position. That way when they are put back you can get the alignment somewhere near where it needs to be, let the suspension settle for a week and then get a full alignment check done.
