I'm gonna do it!!!! I'm getting the LS400 On to a set of Airbags, I can;t wait, if you want the ultimate pimpmobile it's not as expensive as you think, get in touch with Max Hydraulics They are based in Worcester, so not to far from home. They are also teamed up with Lords Lowriders who have regular meetings in Cheltenham and have featured at many shows such as Ultimate Street Car.

Your Feedback is welcome as usual,

Regards Bison :zee:

Hey bison have you seen Ians (owner of maxhydraulics) Merc on fast air its good but still not as fast as the stuff they do in the states i reckon your Ls would look mad on bags check out www.rayvernhydraulics.co.uk aswell as Ray is top man with loads of magazine features of his stuff.

What spec are you going with the bags and compressors or are you using CO2 or Nitrogen?

You need to know what you want to do with your ride first do you want to hop or have adjustible suspension?

The bag replaces the spring on your suspension setup and via switches you can inflate or deflate the bag whilst driving, on common bag setups you have a compressor that runs off the engine and stores air in a tank in the boot which is then distributed to the bags via air lines controlled by the switches this will give slow lift and is not all that impressive. But if you want a slammed ride this can work well, with suspension reworked you will be able to sit the sills on the floor which looks great with a big set of rims as they are right under the arch.

If you want to hop you will need to look at other higher pressure air sources such as CO2 or nitrogen bottles which require higher pressure lines and components which will fill your boot up but is f*cking mad. I went to the states to see a lowrider show and a custom truck show and saw a Toyota tacoma truck hop all four wheels 3 foot off the floor running a nitrogen system

The other alternative is hydraulic suspension but thats different again.

Decide what you want and think about it as it can be really expensive if you dont know what you want then change it as all systems work differently

You can do that with air but not that effectivly most cars you see driving on three wheels are on hydraulics. The reason this works better is that with a hydraulic ram rather than a bag you can get a bigger lift and hydraulics use loads of batteries to power them thus weight being in the boot tips the car backwards forcing a front wheel in the air when you raise and lower certain rams. Sound complicated but its all to do with fulcrum points and balance of the vehicle.

You wont be able to do that with bags even coned shaped bags wont achieve that lift, both those cars have hydraulics.

Personaly i would go with the slammed on the floor look on an Ls and buy some big rims, that way when you park up you can drop the car and get the wow factor when your driving you can adjust the ride height to suit. You will need some room in the boot for a tank but there not that big for what you need.

Try and find some pics of one with bags on someone in the states must have already done it then you can see what you will get before parting with any cash.
